About
One operator. A small bench. Your name on the contract.
Line & Pine is a one-person studio. That is the feature, not a stage it is passing through.
I’m Jacob Fillian. I write, design, and build every Line & Pine site. There is no account manager, no junior waiting to take over after the sales call, and no project manager translating between you and the person doing the work.
Most local businesses get two options: a $99 template that looks like every competitor, or a $12,000 agency engagement with a discovery phase and a deck. There is a third option: five good pages, written for your business, at a fixed price, in about three weeks.
I take two builds a month. That limit is deliberate. It leaves time for the copy interview, the second read of every page, and the phone call when a form breaks on a Friday. It also means the start date I give you is a real date.
The bench
The bench is small and specific: a front-end developer for custom booking integrations, a photographer for shoots, and a copy editor for regulated industries such as dental and legal. They are named on the quote with their own rates. I do not mark them up, and if a job does not need them, they are not on it.
No employees. No office. No sales team. When you email the studio, I answer.
Why the name
The mark is a rule and a three-tier pine. The rule is for the layout: thin lines, generous margins, nothing decorative for its own sake. The pine is for the towns this studio is built for, where the tree line is the skyline.
What I will not do
No stock photos passed off as your team. No invented reviews. No wall of client logos you did not earn. No locking the domain or the code to keep you paying. If the work is good, the contract does not need a trap.
- Fixed price, written down. The scope, the price, and the dates are on one page. If the scope changes, the new price is agreed before the work.
- You own the site.Domain, content, code, analytics, and the Google Business Profile. Admin access transfers on final payment.
- Numbers in the report.Calls, forms, and profile actions, monthly. No vanity charts about impressions.
- One operator on the contract. My name is on it. If something goes wrong, you are not routed to a support queue.

Thirty minutes on the business, the town, and what the current site gets wrong. No deck, no discovery phase.
